Accelerate Diagnostics, Inc. Names Mark C. Miller to Board of DirectorsTUCSON, Ariz., Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Accelerate Diagnostics, Inc. (AXDX), an in vitro diagnostics company dedicated to providing solutions for the global challenge of drug resistant organisms and hospital acquired infections, announced today that Mark C. Miller has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Miller currently serves as Executive Chairman and director of Stericycle (SRCL) where he was Chief Executive Officer from 1992 to 2012 and Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2012. During his 20 years as CEO, Mark grew Stericycle's revenues from $1.6 million to $1.9 billion, and in 2009 was selected by Morningstar, Inc. as its "CEO of the Year." Prior to joining Stericycle, Mr. Miller served as vice president for the Pacific, Asia and Africa in the international division of Abbott Laboratories, a diversified health care company, which he joined in 1976 and where he held a number of management and marketing positions. Mr. Miller formerly served as a director of Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., a developer and supplier of automated diagnostic systems. He received a B.S. degree in computer science from Purdue University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
